Accommodation

The satellite has pre-reserved rooms for conference delegates in several hotels, all centrally located within walking distance from the meeting venue.

The hotel bookings should be made by the delegates themselves by e-mail directly to the hotel. In your booking, please give your full name, address, e-mail, phone number, the dates you wish to stay at the hotel, and the booking code for the hotel in question. Kindly be aware of the booking deadline for every hotel. The special rates are not available beyond the dates mentioned below.

The payment for the stay is to be made at the hotel, either as credit card payment or cash payment (EUR).

Travel to Tampere

Tampere is easily accesible. There are excellent flight connections to Finland and Tampere from all parts of the world. Tampere has an international airport, served by Blue1/SAS (Star Alliance), AirBaltic, Finnair (One World Alliance) and Ryanair.

There are frequent bus connections from Helsinki-Vantaa airport to Tampere. Trains between Tampere and Helsinki run almost every hour.

About Tampere

A large city by Finnish standards, with more than 200 000 inhabitants, Tampere has managed to keep the small town feel. The city centre is compact in size, and the atmosphere is friendly and casual.

The city is located on a scenic spot on a narrow isthmus between two lakes. The Tammerkoski rapids and their riverbanks form the backdrop for old industrial buildings, and ridges formed thousands of years ago by ancient seas and retreating ice offer fantastic views over the two lakes. Original architecture and innovative urban development blend together to please both viewers and users of the built environment.
